Tennessee
From the Mississippi Delta to the Great Smoky Mountains, Tennessee is home to beautiful and biologically diverse natural treasures. But the state’s utility, TVA, is building out more climate-polluting methane gas plants instead of transitioning to clean energy.
The result: higher power bills and accelerated climate change. But Tennessee holds great potential for transitioning to clean energy. For example, the Volunteer State has one of the fastest rates of electric vehicle charging deployment in the region. There’s still a long road ahead, but Tennessee is sure to help drive our clean energy future.
