Utility Decarbonization

Carbon emissions from electricity generation have dropped over the past few decades, but progress is stagnant. We need to decarbonize, not stall, to address the climate crisis.

We are at a critical point in the decarbonization of electricity. Our most effective way to address the climate crisis is to stop generating electricity from fossil fuels. Transitioning to clean, cost-effective sources like solar, wind, storage, and energy efficiency would increase energy affordability, security, and reliability, create clean energy jobs, and reduce climate pollution.
