In response to the Trump administration’s escalating rewriting of the truth and dismantling of science, Dr. Stephen A. Smith, Executive Director of the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, posted a statement on the dangers under Trump’s Orwellian “Ministry of Truth.”
This week’s audacious reality-warping acts by Trump and the federal agencies TVA and EPA reinforce that our country is no longer operating within the boundaries of political party debates with any checks on reality or destructive decisions. Entitles like TVA, the nation’s largest public power provider, and the EPA, the very agency tasked with protecting people and our environment, bowed in pathetic submission to Trump’s Orwellian “Ministry of Truth.”
