Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is planning to build four GE-Hitachi BWRX-300 small modular reactors (SMRs) at its Clinch River site in Tennessee but has not fully committed to the project, and it's not entirely clear that will happen any time soon. Amid a resurgence in US energy demand, the federally-owned utility is still working on its planned Integrated Resource Plan (IRP), which could be delayed beyond this year as TVA considers various new decarbonization policies.
