TVA urged to expand task force

TVA Chairman Craven Crowell has established a task force to plan the phase-out of taxpayer support for TVA's nonpower programs within two years. Congressional representatives and consumer watchdogs, including the Tennessee Valley Energy Coalition, are urging TVA to expand the task force's membership to include broader stakeholder representation beyond internal TVA and Army Corps of Engineers personnel.

It's important that the mission of TVA be looked at broadly and by all of those affected by its decisions
