TVA's $1.5B order for scrubbers to improve air quality, cut haze

In this mention

The Tennessee Valley Authority announced a $1.5 billion order for smokestack scrubbers to be installed at five coal-fired power plants across the Southeast by decade's end, expected to reduce sulfur dioxide emissions by approximately 200,000 tons annually. The scrubbers will improve air quality and visibility in the Great Smoky Mountains region, which has experienced significant haze from coal plant emissions. Ulla-Britt Reeves of the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy praised the announcement as timely.

This is great and very timely
