TVA board OKs 150 megawatts of power to Elon Musk's Memphis supercomputer

Elon Musk's supercomputer in Memphis will receive about 150 megawatts of power from the Tennessee Valley Authority under an agreement approved Thursday by the utility's board of directors.

A startup focused on artificial intelligence founded by Musk, xAI has built a massive supercomputer, dubbed Colossus, in a former Electrolux manufacturing facility in Memphis. The company says it's guided by a mission to advance the collective understanding of the universe.
