Southeast states to add nearly 15 GW of solar by 2023

A Southern Alliance for Clean Energy report projects the Southeast will reach nearly 25 GW of solar capacity by 2023, representing 5% of total regional generation. The report classifies utilities as either Sunrisers (including Florida Power & Light and Georgia Power) or Sunblockers (including TVA), based on their solar growth commitments. South Carolina is projected to lead the region in solar watts per customer by 2023.

SunBlockers should look to the SunRisers for how to increase installed solar capacity in their service territories and states
