South Carolina regulators unanimously voted to raise the avoided-cost rates Dominion Energy must pay independent solar providers from $21.43/MWh to between $27.51–$32.52/MWh, reversing a November 2019 decision. SACE Solar Program Director Bryan Jacob argued the original ruling conflicted with the state's Energy Freedom Act and would have been devastating to the solar industry.
