SACE report projects Florida to outpace North Carolina for solar installations
In this mention
SACE released its third annual "Solar in the Southeast" report projecting Florida will outpace North Carolina for solar installations by 2021. The report uses a "watts per customer" metric to measure solar adoption across the region and identifies utilities as either "SunRisers" or "SunBlockers" based on their solar growth ambition. SACE leadership highlighted that while some southeastern states are making progress, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi continue to lag behind, with TVA policies continuing to block solar production.
The unbiased watts per customer metric continues to shine a light on which states and utilities demonstrate leadership year after year and which are continuing to fall behind and need a serious course correction to avoid denying customers the economic and environmental benefits of clean solar power
