Runyon starts TVA team-building
In this mention
Incoming TVA Chairman Marvin Runyon begins team-building meetings with TVA managers and directors ahead of his Monday swearing-in. Mark Siegel, director of the Tennessee Valley Energy Coalition (a ratepayers' organization), expresses concern about Runyon's openness to TVA accountability, praising his stated support for low residential rates while criticizing his refusal to answer TVEC's questionnaire on TVA issues.
If Mr. Runyon does not recognize that TVA's accountability to the ratepayers who pay the vast majority of TVA's bills and whose lives are affected in many ways by TVA's policies, public cynicism about TVA will continue to grow
