Environmental groups including the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy are hosting Renew Alabama: A Night of Positive Energy at Avondale Brewing Company to educate residents about wind and solar energy development. SACE's Southeast Energy Organizer Amelia Shenstone explains the event aims to connect people interested in renewable energy and showcase existing initiatives in the state. The event comes amid growing interest and controversy over proposed wind farms in eastern Alabama counties.
