Only one shows for TVA public forum

The Tennessee Valley Authority's top managers began their weekly meetings with the public Monday, but only one person showed up.

Except for representatives of the news media, the Tennessee Valley Energy Coalition's executive director, Mark Siegel, was the lone participant at three of five managers' sessions. Only the media attended the other two.

"I'm going to be at a lot of them," Siegel said.

Siegel talked with TVA General Counsel Edward S. Christenbury,

Manager of Natural Resources and Economic Development Billy J. Bond and chief financial officer Jim Durall.

Manager of Power Bob Steffy and Acting Manager of Employee Relations Charles Doty saw only media representatives.

Other managers' meetings set for this week in Knoxville are:
■ Manager of Governmental and Public Affairs Craven Crowell, 11 a.m. to noon today in his office on the fourth floor of the East Tower on West Summit Hill Drive.
■ Inspector General Norman Zigrossi, noon to 1 p.m. today in his office on the fourth floor of the East Tower.
■ Manager of Corporate Services John W. Thompson, 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday in the Information Office conference room on the plaza level of the East Tower.
■ General Manager William Willis, 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday in his office on the 12th floor of the East Tower.
■ Manager of Policy, Planning and Budget John G. Stewart, 11 a.m. to noon Friday in his office on the 12th floor of the East Tower.
