Subject: Green jobs report release for September 9 in TN, FL, NC and SC

We need to be aware of this -- esp. SAS for media calls from TN and the larger region.

Nick was on a national call on this and took notes (thank you).

Gil is working with Bill Nolan (NRDC) in TN
Jen is working with the Con Net folks here in NC
Colin is working with SC Wildlife Federation in SC
Nick is tracking this in FL to see who is the lead in FL; he will feed in to the efforts but is out the two days of the release (9/8-9).

Just wanted to remind you that Gil is plugging into an event in TN, Melissa in FL and Colin and I helped with some SC/NC planning.

There may be calls looking for SAS to comment on this.

This release is going to be pretty big. Or so it seems.

what is out timeline on the Economist statement? Do we have any ally economist we can pull in as a Southeast expert here?

  • I think this should be pushed to Christina somehow as a heads up.
there is going to be a national Teleconference call for media, and
there are going to be local State Teleconference call for media.

  • We need to be sure SAS gets a good prep on this cause media should be heavy - and I imagine he is towards the top of their rolodex.

Sc event a success. Three tv stations and 1 paper. Event was held at zero energy home on furman university campus.

Florida press conference was a success! Covered by television. FOX and ABC stations. Will air on tonights news broadcast.
