Expanding EV access: Charlotte affordable housing residents to share electric vehicles

Charlotte will launch an electric vehicle-sharing program in July 2023 as part of the nationwide Affordable Mobility Platform, providing 10 shared EVs to five affordable housing developments across the city. The partnership between the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, Centralina Regional Council, and the City of Charlotte aims to expand EV access to lower-income residents who cannot afford vehicle ownership.
