EPB buys energy from area customer

In this mention

The Genovesi family in North Chattanooga became the first EPB customer and eighth in the Tennessee Valley to participate in TVA's Green Power Generation program by installing 20 solar photovoltaic panels on their home. Stephen Smith of the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy praised the initiative, noting that solar units add home value and the program is gaining momentum despite a slow start. The family's 2.2-kilowatt system is expected to save approximately $360 annually while reducing greenhouse gas emissions by over 4,000 pounds per year.

These solar units add tremendously to the value of one's home, and we think they are going to become much more popular in the future. This program has gotten off to somewhat of a slow start, but it's definitely picking up.
