Duke Energy Florida, Vote Solar, SACE, and Walmart filed a petition with the Florida Public Service Commission to approve the Clean Energy Connections community solar program, which would construct 750 MW of solar power in Florida from 2022-2024. SACE executive director Stephen Smith praised the program for increasing solar access to low-income customers and reducing the need for fossil fuel assets.
