This Coal & Energy Price Report article covers TVA's decision to retire Paradise Units 1 and 2, a coal-fired power plant in Kentucky. Angela Garrone of SACE is quoted extensively as a critic of the decision's environmental impacts and as celebrating TVA's move toward cleaner energy. The article presents competing perspectives from coal industry advocates and environmental groups on the economic and environmental implications of the plant closure.

As one of the longest watchdogs of TVA, SACE is excited to see TVA reducing its reliance on coal and moving towards a cleaner energy economy.
