On Saturday, June 20, from 12–7 PM, the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy (SACE) will participate in the Triad Cultural Arts Juneteenth Celebration at Bailey Park/Innovation Quarter in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Tour an Electric School Bus & Talk to the Experts: An electric school bus provided by The Arts Based School will be parked on-site with an experienced driver available all day to answer questions. Whether you want to climb aboard, talk policy, or just learn what’s under the hood of clean transportation, SACE staff Dory Larsen and Stan Cross will be on hand to share what zero-emission school buses mean for air quality, children’s health, and the communities where they live.

Next door to the electric school bus, near the corner of 5th Street and Patterson Avenue, Piedmont Environmental Alliance will offer interactive, experiential learning activities for all ages, making this corner of the festival a hub for environmental education and engagement.

Children’s Book Giveaway: SACE will also be giving away free copies of Wildfire by Rodman Philbrick (one per family, while supplies last), an engaging summer read connecting young readers to themes of nature, resilience, and our changing environment.

This celebration is free and open to the public. For more information on the full event and event parking, visit triadculturalarts.org/juneteenth-2.

SACE’s participation in the event is in partnership with Piedmont Environmental Alliance, The Arts Based School, and Moms Clean Air Force.
