Electric Futures – Raleigh
Electric Futures Raleigh seeks to ensure communities have a say in North Carolina’s growing clean energy landscape.
Funded by the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation, Electric Futures Raleigh brings together SACE and EVHybridNoire in partnership with Southeast Raleigh Promise and Partners for Environmental Justice to better understand the transportation and related workforce needs of Raleigh residents. The project seeks to ensure that communities are actively engaged in shaping accessible clean transportation initiatives and have meaningful opportunities to influence how these investments and programs develop.
North Carolina is experiencing major growth in its EV and battery industries, including Toyota’s multibillion-dollar battery manufacturing investment. Electric Futures Raleigh also works with the City of Raleigh, which has established ambitious sustainability and clean transportation goals. Together, these efforts can help connect residents with Raleigh and North Carolina’s promising clean energy landscape while ensuring community priorities help shape the region’s transportation future.
