Every month, families across the Southeast are forced to choose between essentials like prescriptions, groceries, and childcare — or keeping the lights on.

Meanwhile, monopoly utilities like Georgia Power and Duke Energy rake in record profits, raising rates and building costly fossil fuel plants to power data centers. Customers have nowhere else to go. Someone has to fight for them.

The Southern Alliance for Clean Energy (SACE) has been doing exactly that for 40 years — showing up at hearings and challenging rate cases to hold monopoly utilities accountable and lower bills through clean, affordable energy. We know solar energy can’t be price-gouged, and efficiency upgrades reduce waste instead of billing customers for it.

We don’t take utility money. We take on utility power, and we’re winning.

Join our fight. Every donation matters.
