Webinar: “Energy Efficiency in the Southeast” Seventh Edition Report
February 11 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
The Southern Alliance for Clean Energy will release its seventh edition “Energy Efficiency in the Southeast” report this January, illuminating the critical role of utilities and utility resource planning in energy efficiency efforts throughout the region, including Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Proper implementation of energy efficiency can result in a variety of benefits for the utility, program participants, and even non-participating customers.
Join us on Wednesday, February 11, at 1 PM ET for a webinar with SACE Decarbonization Director, Eddy Moore; SACE Research Director, Maggie Shober; and SACE Executive Director, Dr. Stephen A. Smith, to hear report highlights, including:
- Southeast utilities must pursue energy efficiency for customer and utility cost savings and to reduce exposure to fuel cost volatility and financial risk.
- Federal funding for home energy efficiency upgrades that can utility bills are in limbo, even amidst a national affordability crisis.
- Energy efficiency programs and reductions are being outpaced by projected annual load growth, in part due to the unprecedented buildout of power-sucking data centers.
For those who are unable to tune into the live webinar, a recording, the report, and the report’s companion blog post will be sent to registrants.
