Southern Alliance for Clean Energy Invites the Public to Attend an Open House in Asheville

Tours & Speakers to Highlight Energy Efficiency Improvements & Renewable Energy Installations Made to Local Commercial Facility

 

Asheville, N.C. – The public and media are invited to attend the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy’s Open House on Wednesday, May 28, to learn about the extensive energy efficiency retrofits made to its commercial facility in downtown Asheville and to help officially inaugurate its newly-installed 6.9 kW solar photovoltaic array.

The extensive office improvements demonstrate a commitment to lead by example along the path to a positive future by making responsible energy choices that create climate change solutions to ensure that Asheville is a clean, safe and healthy community.

SACE’s executive director, Dr. Stephen A. Smith, and staff, as well as project partners from Sundance Power Systems, Green Opportunities and Conservation Pros, will be available to lead tours, showcase SACE’s clean energy improvements, and discuss the importance of the solar industry and energy efficiency programs to North Carolina.

There will be networking and discussion opportunities for those who are interested in clean energy policy, and there will also be excellent opportunities for filming and photographing clean energy infrastructure and energy efficiency improvements.

WHEN: Wednesday, May 28, 5:00pm – 7:00 p.m.

COST: FREE, light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served
