Tennessee is home to extraordinary places such as the Smoky Mountains and Cumberland Plateau, as well as huge potential for clean energy. The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is a federally-owned independent utility agency that provides electricity to more than 99 percent of the state.

Unfortunately too many Tennesseans pay a high percentage of their income on annual energy needs. The state lags behind other Southeastern states in the investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy that would help ease high energy burdens seen across the Volunteer State. SACE is committed to moving Tennessee forward on clean energy in a way that protects consumers and ensures a healthy and just green economy for all.
