Amy Vaden joined SACE as Development & Content Manager in October 2018. She works with SACE’s expert programmatic staff to translate often technical subject matter into compelling prose for readers across a wide spectrum. Amy is responsible for crafting and editing grant proposals and reports, and she works to ensure the steady flow of interesting and diverse material for our readers on cleanenergy.org. In this position, Amy’s goal is to write compelling content to illustrate all of the ways that energy policy really affects us every day in our communities and worldwide.
Amy is a native Southerner from Alabama and is a proud alum of the University of the South in Sewanee, TN, where she graduated in the inaugural year of the school’s Environmental Studies department. After receiving a Master of Environmental Law & Policy from Vermont Law School, she moved to Asheville, North Carolina, where she lives with her husband, two sons, dog, and chickens. In her free time she volunteers for Asheville Meals on Wheels, serves on the board of directors for the Asheville Museum of Science, and loves traveling and exploring new places, faraway and close to home, especially during family hikes & camping trips in the beautiful Western North Carolina mountains.
