Webinar: Climate Change and Your Health

Kate Tracy | November 10, 2020 | Webinars

Climate change is driving extremes in weather and temperature, increased pollution and environmental toxins, and changes in food security and infectious diseases, which have all been proven to contribute to health problems. Increased global warming is leading to longer allergy seasons and more respiratory diseases, including COVID-19. This webinar discussed the health threats associated with climate change as well as large and small scale solutions to address these threats.

This webinar was hosted by the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy (SACE) in conjunction with Florida Climate Voices. SACE’s Florida Director, Susan Glickman, moderated the discussion with panelists Congresswoman Donna Shalala, medical expert Dr. Cheryl Holder, scientist, Dr. Rachel Licker, and author Mario Ariza.
