SACE to Hold Press Call on New Report

Report details the shortcomings of Tennessee’s coal ash regulations Knoxville, Tennessee (October 25, 2010) – In advance of the last in a series of crucial EPA public hearings on coal ash waste to be held in Knoxville on October 27th, Southern Alliance for Clean Energy (SACE) is releasing a report on October 26, 2010 on the shortcomings of Tennessee’s coal ash regulations. One of the report’s key findings is that states like Tennessee have shown, in the wake of a major coal ash disaster, that state-based regulation is not the most protective means of protecting public health and the environment from this hazardous waste. To provide further information on the report and to answer media questions, SACE will host a telepress call open to all media on Tuesday afternoon.
