Reporting Back: Climate Scientists Brief Governor Rick Scott
Join us Thursday, August 21 at 11:00 am to hear from the scientists who are meeting this week with Governor Rick Scott, to present to him the latest climate science and impacts on Florida. They will share the same science that they present to Governor Scott and talk about outcomes from the meeting. There is increasing urgency on this issue because Florida is ground zero for the impacts of accelerating climate change and key policy decisions hang in the balance, such as the state-level implementation of the US EPA’s first-ever proposed limits on carbon pollution from power plants.
