Guest Blog | April 1, 2011 | Podcasts

Wind energy generates thousands of high-quality, clean energy jobs. An estimated 85,000 people are currently employed by the wind industry in the U.S. The Jobs and Economic Development Impact (JEDI) model was created by the National Renewable Energy Lab to estimate the local job and economic impact resulting from the development of power plants, and can be used to estimate the benefits of wind farms. In this webinar presentation, learn how to estimate job creation using the JEDI model and compare this to the real on-the-ground results of wind farm development from a local perspective.
