Over the past few years, southeastern utilities have been pushed to start or expand their energy efficiency programs. SACE has pushed for these changes, which have supported our campaign to block new coal plant construction and shut down existing coal plants. It hasn’t been easy changing the strategy of utilities, including Tennessee Valley Authority, Duke Energy and Southern Company. And there is more to come. SACE Research Director John D. Wilson will share some of the drama and impacts that have come from the past several years of action across our region.
