Advisory: Electric Vehicle Ride and Drive Event This Weekend in Palm Harbor

Palm Harbor, Fla. – Public officials, business leaders, electric vehicle industry representatives, car enthusiasts and environmental groups will join together this Saturday, March 3, 2018, to host a ‘Ride & Drive’ event to highlight the benefits of electric vehicles (EV). EVs are cleaner to drive, save consumers money in fuel and operating costs, and offer a superior driving experience.

WHEN: Saturday, March 3rd from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

WHERE: Palm Harbor United Methodist Church. South Lot. 1551 Belcher Rd. Palm Harbor, FL 34683

WHAT: Public officials, business leaders, electric vehicle industry, car enthusiasts and environmental groups will offer remarks on the benefits of electric vehicles to Floridians. There will be test drives available in the following vehicles: Chevrolet BOLT, Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In, and BMW i3, and there will be a display of more than a dozen electric vehicles and their drivers.

The event will also have informational resources on the cost-savings and clean-air benefits of electric cars, EVs and charging in Florida. Representatives from Duke Energy Florida, RBC Group, Ferman Chevy, Fitzgerald Chrysler Jeep Clearwater, Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, Suncoast Sierra Club, The Solar Shepherd, Inc., City of Largo, and others will also be on hand to answer questions about EVs and charging around the Tampa Bay area.

Additional participants in the event will include: Greenlots, Solar United Neighbors of Florida, and others. All are welcome to attend to show your support for EVs.
