Electric Vehicle Advocates Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with Community Clean-Up

WHEN: Monday, January 15 at 1:00 PM – 3:30PM

WHERE: Georgia Power offices and Downtown Atlanta area; 241 Ralph McGill Blvd. Atlanta, GA 30308

WHAT: On Monday, January 15, 2018, electric vehicle (EV) advocates and supporters will celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a community clean-up and educational rally on electric vehicles. EVs are cleaner for our environment and less expensive to drive – making them a great choice for EVeryone. Join us to celebrate the freedom of going electric. For the event invitation, click here.

1:00PM Gather in parking lot of Georgia Power
1:30PM Short presentation – EVs for All
1:45PM Trash pick up on Piedmont, Courtland, Peachtree Center Ave and Peachtree
3:00PM Meet back at Georgia Power
3:15PM Disperse for optional refreshments at Varsity on North Ave. to celebrate Smart City Corridor

WHO: The event is hosted by Georgia Public Service Commissioner Tim Echols, EV Club of the South, Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, Plug In America, City of Atlanta’s Office of Resilience, Atlanta Checker Cab and others. All are welcome to attend to learn about EVs, display an EV and help with the clean-up.
