Please join us for a webinar on Thursday\, September 10 at 11 AM ET for a conversation on the state of the electric vehicle (EV) market and a look ahead at 2027. \nWebinar: “Transportation Electrification in the Southeast” Seventh Annual Report\nThursday\, September 10 | 11 AM – 12 PM ET\nRegister Here \nThis year’s report is a snapshot of EV market momentum and resilience in the Southeast at a pivotal political inflection point. The report examines data from July 2025 through June 2026 for six states across the Southeast – Alabama\, Florida\, Georgia\, North Carolina\, South Carolina\, and Tennessee – across six market indicators: manufacturing investments; anticipated jobs; EV sales; charging infrastructure deployment; utility investments; and public funding. Highlights in the “Transportation Electrification in the Southeast” seventh annual report include:\n \n\nThe Southeast remains the nation’s leader in EV manufacturing investment and employment — amassing nearly $75.2 billion in private-sector investments (41% of the national total) and an anticipated 62\,760 jobs (32% of the national total) — even as the past 12 months saw $4.5 billion in canceled or scaled-back investment and more than 9\,700 lost anticipated jobs\, leading to negative year-over year growth for the first time. \nEV sales rose 25% from last year\, with 225\,000 new EVs sold\, while EV market share climbed to 7.3%\, with Florida being the only state to climb above the national average to 9.4%. \nAdditionally\, EV driver satisfaction reached an all-time high\, and the used EV market expanded\, with the Southeast recording 135\,030 used EV sales over the past 12 months\, a 33% increase from the prior 12 months. \nInvestment by the region’s investor-owned utilities (IOUs) increased by 14% year-over-year\, though the region continues to trail the national average in IOU EV investments per utility customer.\n\nJoin Stan Cross\, SACE Electric Transportation Director\, Nick Nigro\, Atlas Public Policy Founder\, and Dory Larsen\, SACE Senior Electric Transportation Program Manager\, on Thursday\, September 10\, at 11 AM ET\, for a discussion of EV market growth over the past year and national context for what to watch for in the coming year.
