Webinar: How Climate Change Impacts Hurricanes

  • This event has passed.

June 3, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Next week marks the beginning of the Atlantic hurricane season. In the coastal Southeast, we know all too well the increasingly devastating impact of recent storms, like Michael, Irma, Maria, Florence, and Dorian, including the death toll, property damage, and economic hardships such as lost wages.

Through the work of expert scientists, we also know that climate change is making hurricanes worse.

Join SACE for a webinar with one of those expert scientists, Dr. Timothy Hall, Senior Scientist at NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies and Adjunct Professor at Columbia University’s Department of Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics, to learn about how climate change impacts hurricanes.
