With Halloween in the rear-view mirror and Thanksgiving approaching fast, many of us are starting to think about holiday gift lists. The Southern Alliance for Clean Energy is excited to announce that this year, there’s a couple of colorful, socially-conscious and environmentally-sustainable options you can purchase for anyone on your list.

Mountainspiration Apparel, an apparel company based in Asheville, N.C., has launched a new line of Chari-Tees shirts made from 100% organic cotton or an organic cotton-recycled PET polyester blend, so they’re soft, comfortable and eco-friendly.  If those aren’t good enough reasons to purchase one, then perhaps this is: 100% the proceeds from either shirt pictured here will support our work promoting clean energy here in the Southeast! In addition to this generous program, Mountainspiration also offers all customers the option to choose SACE or any other western North Carolina nonprofit to receive 5% of the proceeds from any purchase during the check-out process.

Part of the company’s mission is to inspire people to get outside and appreciate the natural beauty of our planet, and to respect and preserve it as well. Mountainspiration has dedicated much of its work to collaborating with environmental protection organizations because, in the words of founder Evans Prater, “Without the people who dedicate their lives to protecting the beauty of our planet, we wouldn’t have a reason to make this kind of apparel. I’m proud to say that 100% of the profits from these collaboration t-shirts will go to SACE and fulfilling their mission of promoting clean energy solutions in our region.”

When you’re making your list and checking it twice, please consider purchasing one of these shirts to share the positive message of clean energy and to support our important work! You can also support our work by donating to SACE or becoming a member today.
