Georgia Power Lights the Way with Discounted LEDs

Guest Blog | November 11, 2013 | Energy Efficiency, Utilities

Last month, Georgia Power began offering discounted LEDs (light emitting diodes) at Home Depot, while supplies last. The program is quite simple – all you have to do is stop by Home Depot and buy the discounted LEDs! While you are in Home Depot, you might be able to pick up discounted CFLs (compact florescent lamps) as well; the discounted CFLs are available at many locations, as shown here.

According to Phillips, the manufacturer of the LEDs that are available for this discount, these LEDs will last 22.8 years – meaning the $12 you pay after Georgia Power applies the discount for the the bulb is a fantastic investment. Even at the full price of $22, the LED will save an estimated $135 per bulb.

Get to the store and buy your discounted CFLs and LEDs today, before supplies run out!
