When hiring opportunities arise, SACE sometimes will hire individuals with a strong working knowledge of electric utility industry regulation, planning, finance or program administration, or of renewable energy business development without formally posting the position.
We anticipate future openings for staff with knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: solar and wind energy development, industrial and commercial energy management, utility system resource planning, energy efficiency programs, or utility regulatory policy. The applicant must demonstrate solid skills in most of the following areas: writing, public speaking, analytic and computer applications. Experience with state agencies, decision-makers, media, or non-profit advocacy necessary.
We are often flexible as to job location, typically expecting staff to be based in Tennessee, Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Alabama or (more rarely) Washington, DC. Salary offers are commensurate with nonprofit compensation in the Southeast, and include a full benefits package. It is possible that we may fill a new position without advertising it should the right applicant indicate interest.
