Our team at Electrify the South and our Driving on Sunshine initiative continue to explore a variety of online platforms in order to present information about the benefits of driving electric in alternative ways. One of those ways is a series of short, informational videos about one of the most common questions we hear at events: “How do you charge an electric vehicle?” We now have several published electric vehicles charging videos called “Clean Car Chats” hosted on our various social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter) – the first four are below:

We have also started doing “live” events in a webinar structure. These “Virtual Ride & Drive” events allow participants to experience a ride in an electric vehicle from the vantage point of the backseat, offering a pretty realistic perspective of what it would be like at one of our test drive events.

Virtual ride and drive webinar participants then have a chance to submit their own questions and listen to all that are submitted during a live question and answer session to get a deeper understanding of the benefits of electric vehicles.

We’ve heard back from a few of the more than 200 people who have already joined us on one of our virtual test drives:

  • “I’m not ready to buy an EV just yet, but do plan to” said Phyllis.
  • Cheryl shared with us the virtual test drive was “educational but fun.”
  • “I wanted to compliment you and your team on the excellent virtual Bolt EV ride & drive you hosted! Thank you for providing this opportunity” said Joe.

We invite you to join us for an upcoming virtual ride and drive (you can see future events listed here) and enjoy the digital content we have created during this time of social distancing. We intend to resume hosting in-person events when health and safety guidelines permit, so continue to check our calendar of upcoming events here.
