In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Driving on Sunshine campaign and Electrify the South have paused in-person events out of an abundance of caution, but we’ve been searching for ways to continue to offer electric vehicle educational outreach in the digital space with videos, social media, and webinars.Jennifer Rennicks | June 2, 2020
Our team at Electrify the South and the Driving on Sunshine campaign continues to explore a variety of online platforms in order to present information in alternative ways. One of those ways is a series of short informational videos about one of the most common questions we hear at events: “How do you charge an electric vehicle?” We now have several published electric vehicles charging videos called “Clean Car Chats” hosted on our various social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter) – the first four are below:
We have also started doing “live” events in a webinar structure. These “Virtual Ride & Drive” events allow participants to experience a test drive in an electric vehicle from the backseat, offering a pretty realistic perspective of what it would be like at one of our test drive events.
Virtual ride and drive webinar participants then have a chance to submit their own questions and listen to all that are submitted during a live question and answer session to get a deeper understanding of the benefits of electric vehicles.
We invite you to join us for an upcoming virtual ride and drive (you can see future events listed here) and enjoy the digital content we have created during this time of social distancing. We intend to resume hosting in-person events when health and safety guidelines permit, so continue to check our calendar of upcoming events here.
