Maggie Shober | August 1, 2022 | Jobs and Internships

Highly-qualified individuals with professional experience and/or education that demonstrates an understanding of energy policy issues are encouraged to provide a resume and letter of interest for future positions that we may have.

When hiring opportunities arise, SACE sometimes will hire individuals with a strong working knowledge of electric utility industry regulation, planning, finance or program administration, or of renewable energy business development without formally posting the position.

We anticipate future openings for staff with knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: solar and wind energy development, utility system resource planning, transmission or distribution planning, energy efficiency or electrification programs, or utility regulatory policy. The applicant must demonstrate solid skills in most of the following areas: writing, public speaking, analytic and computer applications. Experience with state agencies, decision-makers, media, or non-profit advocacy strongly preferred.

We are often flexible as to job location, typically expecting staff to be based in our key Southeast states: Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, or Florida. SACE has offices in Knoxville, Tennessee; Asheville, North Carolina; and Atlanta, Georgia. Salary offer will be commensurate with nonprofit compensation in the Southeast and include a full benefits package including 401k matching, paid vacation, and paid sick leave. Additionally, SACE will provide support for training to deepen skillset when appropriate. It is possible that we may fill a new position without advertising it should the right applicant indicate interest.

How to Inquire

Applicants should email resume and letter of interest to [email protected] and note any restrictions regarding location, salary, and dates of availability. Due to the high volume of inquiries we receive, we are unable to personally contact all applicants. Please be assured that every application is reviewed and considered by a senior member of our staff.
